What is Digex NF?

Digex NF is a combination medicine that is used to treat indigestion (upset stomach, gas, bloating), and to reduce stomach acid.

Digex NF may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Warnings

You should not use Digex NF if you have severe ulcerative colitis, or if you are unable to urinate.

Before you take Digex NF, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, or a thyroid disorder.

Before taking this medicine

You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to hyoscyamine or phenyltoloxamine, or if:

  • you have severe ulcerative colitis; or

  • you are unable to urinate.

You may not be able to take this medicine if you have untreated or uncontrolled diseases such as glaucoma, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, or a thyroid disorder.

Tell your doctor if you have or have had:

  • a bladder obstruction or other urination problems;

  • an enlarged prostate;

  • ulcerative colitis;

  • glaucoma;

  • myasthenia gravis;

  • liver or kidney disease;

  • heart problems; or

  • breathing problems.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not give this medicine to a child without medical advice.

How should I take Digex NF?

Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.

Take with food.

If you break or open a Digex NF capsule, avoid inhaling the powder medicine inside the capsule.

Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light.
